The story of Safal KIDS

Welcome to our very first blog post!

My name is Lenne-Ann Orusalu, and I am the founder of Safal KIDS.

I have been passionate about clothing, fabrics, and sewing since middle school, and my journey has taken me to the Supernoova finals and various fashion shows. I graduated from Haapsalu Vocational Education and Training Centre with a degree in textile work and also have a background in photography from Tartu School of Art .

Over the years, I have taken multiple courses in knitting and sewing, which have helped me understand the importance of quality and craftsmanship in product design. I also had the opportunity to practice under Mare Kelpman, whose values align with mine – high-quality products, durable materials, small-batch production, and working with local artisans.

In 2013, I started Safal Fashion, initially focusing on sewn and knitted infinity scarves. A few years later, I became a mother for the first time, which allowed me to pursue my longtime dream – creating a baby clothing collection.

My biggest priority is ensuring that children’s clothing is comfortable for every activity, and as a mother of two, I continuously test Safal KIDS clothing on my own children before making them available to you. Safal KIDS grows with my children, evolving just like our relationship and needs do over time.

Safal KIDS remains committed to providing skin-friendly, eco-tex certified fabrics, comfortable cuts, and thoughtful designs. Many of our fabrics are gender-neutral, allowing for easy reuse within the family.

I love handcrafting and enjoy making handmade soaps, candles, and lip balms in my studio – along with selecting fabrics and perfecting new designs.

Looking ahead, I plan to create many new collections and further develop our family business.
